Installation Agreement

Thank you very much for placing your order with us here at AK Glass Windows and Doors Ltd.

After our surveyor has attended to collect all the final measurements, the process will be as follows:

1. If you are required to pay a 'product payment' , then cleared funds are required once the survey has been completed. It is your responsibility to make sure the payment has been made.

2. Frames, glass etc will be placed on order with manufacturers.

3. Once we receive a confirmed delivery date from the manufacturers, you will be contacted to arrange an installation date. Installs cannot be booked prior to this.

4. Balance is due on the last day of installation; this will require paying before the fitters leave. Please arrange for either yourself or a representative to be present at the property to check the install.

Pre-Installation Guidelines:

Before we carry out work at your property, we need to draw your attention to a few points. Please read the following carefully:

• Please ensure the area around the window/door is clear from any obstacles and furniture. We accept no liability if any issues occur due to our installers moving these items.

• If wires, cables, doorbells or alarms run through the frames, or are attached, these will have to be moved prior to install.

• We do not remove or re-fix any curtains, pelmets, blinds or shutters.

• We accept no liability for these, if not moved, and we continue with the installation afterwards. If we are unable to continue and must rearrange for another day, a charge will be applied at our standard day rate.

Our fitters carry several dust sheets and will cover the floor and furniture around the window/door. If you have any items in the area/room that may be affected by airborne dust, we strongly advise that they are moved from the area. We are after all, carrying out major building work.

Please do not decorate, plaster or lay new carpets and flooring until the install has taken place.

Due to the fact we work all over London and the southeast, our vans do not have any parking permits for specific areas. Where possible , please allow use of off-street parking or visitors permits. If needed the fitters will park on payment meters which will be added to your invoice plus VAT (as instructed by HMRC), please contact us regarding parking if you foresee any potential issues.

Our fitters will aim to arrive at your property between 8am-10am on each day of your installation. Regrettably, we cannot be more specific because of the geographical area we cover and traffic conditions.

We appreciate many of our clients will need to leave for work before the fitters arrive. In these cases, we ask that a set of keys are to be provided for them.

Our installation dates are estimated and can vary. Sometimes, jobs take longer than anticipated and we commit to finish ing a job when we start it, so this can mean a delayed start date for the following job.

We ask our customers to understand that if something comes up during a job that we could not have foreseen, we must ensure we complete the job before moving to the next one.

You have ordered a bespoke product and production times can and do vary from that given at point of order.

For this reason, we strongly advise against booking time off work, unless you can be flexible, or booking other trades around our dates.

We may also need to return separately on a different day to complete the works; these days are considered to be part of the installation .
